Why RICE WATER is making your hair DRY OUT

The rice water hair rinse is high in protein!! It is a protein treatment. When you do a “Real Rice Water Hair Rinse”, it should be done every 4 to 6 weeks. When people do it every week, it is not THE proper rice water treatment.

The protein in rice is too big to go into your hair strands. Instead it coats the hair, which isn’t a bad thing. BUT, too much, to frequently can stop your hair from absorbing moisture. Excessive amounts can even lead to dry brittle hair prone to breakage.

If you wash your hair with rice water, this will lead to PROTEIN OVERLOAD. 

If you have high porosity hair you can do a rice water hair rinse twice a month but watch out for the signs of protein overload.

Note: Rice water doesn’t make your hair grow faster. It just helps you to retain length, by strengthening your strands to prevent breakage. The length your hair would have grown anyway is just kept.
